Everyday competence was assessed with the Yesterday Interview (following Moss and Lawton, 1982). Some questions about yesterday's activities in the morning, at midday and in the evening were included in the EE, the full interview was conducted in the psychiatric session of the IP. In this semi-structured interview, participants reported, in detail, their activities of the previous day - from getting up in the morning until going to bed at night. For each activity (the single activities were coded and grouped in categories) they were asked when, for how long, where, and in the presence of whom it occured, as well as whether the participant experienced any difficulty, needed any kind of assistance or aid.

At Time 6 the Yesterday Interview was part of the Intake Assessment and is therefore reported in this section (Everyday competence assessed in the EE).
